Help… I’m going Bananas!
Ok you guys… I need your help! We’ve got 2 HUGE banana pods – which is about 400 bananas – ripe and ready to eat!!!!… but I’ve only got a few banana recipes.
Aside from adding them to Smoothies; making natural Dehydrated Banana Chips (which I will post a video on later); and eating them Whole…. I’m at a loss for recipes that use bananas in a healthy way. I’ve got a great no-sugar banana bread recipe, but you can only eat so many of those.
So please leave a comment on your ideas and suggestions on what I should do with them. I’ll try to post a video with my favorite idea you guys come up with so everyone else can enjoy it too!
I can’t wait to see what ideas you have. Thanks for the help!
~ Erika
P.S. Don’t worry, I am sharing the banana love and giving out tons to my neighbors and friends.

Hi! I freeze mine. (Chop them up and put about three per freezer baggie.) We make daily smoothies with our vita mix. Our favorite is frozen bananas, frozen strawberries, almond milk, and fresh spinach. YUM!
ps. i look forward to your banana bread recipe.
Thanks for the comment Gina! I’m working on several videos this week and will definitely be doing the banana bread recipe soon. We’ve managed to use/give-away all but about 30 bananas… Yay!

Hi I think this was an older post, but I just wanted to pass on our fav ripe banana recipe. I absolutely LOVE you and your blog! Thank you for all the great raw recipes. We have a large family and it has been difficult budget wise converting to more raw food. We by gods provision have just acquired a vita mix so YIPEE! Any how this has really been helping my raw food diet.
Banana oatmeal cookies: can be done in oven or dehydrator.
4 ripe bananas
2-3 cups of oats
2 tbs /+ walnut oil ( could use olive or coconut oil)
Mash bananas
In separate bowl put oats and coat with the oil, you may have to add more oil here because we more than triple this recipe it is hard to tell you.
Add mashed bananas to oats add a pinch of salt.
Mix well and add more mashed up bananas if looks to dry.
Then drop by large spoonfuls on cookie sheet on 350 mash down with a fork after 5 min in oven. Or halfway through dehydration.
Blessings,
Shanna
Thank you so much Shanna for the comments and your recipe… it sounds delicious! I’m so glad you posted it – we’re about to get 4 more HUGE pods of bananas and I’ll need all the recipes I can get! I’ll try it out and let you know how it goes! God Bless! ~ Erika
